Versatile expertise - long experience
Jelpperi has extensive experience with many different types of installations. When installing curtain rods and curtain rails, it is important to choose a suitable model, determine the correct installation location, keep the rod straight and select the appropriate distance from the wall. Jelpperi chooses the mounting method according to the ceiling or wall material. A properly installed curtain rod makes the curtains look neat, practical and finished.
Jelpperi helps when you want a curtain rod installed on the ceiling or wall without unnecessary holes or a crooked result. Several curtain rods, curtain rails, pictures, mirrors, shelves or other small home mounting jobs can often be completed during the same visit.

Curtain rail or curtain rod installation?
Are the windows large or is the room particularly wide? A curtain rail is well suited to large spaces, for example to cover an entire window wall in a living room. Rails are usually installed on the ceiling, and a ceiling rail provides a clean and minimalist appearance. A pelmet-style rail can also conceal the curtain brackets, rail and gliders.
Curtain rods are a traditional and easy solution for covering an individual window. It is usually best for the curtain rod to extend slightly beyond the edges of the window so that the curtains can be moved neatly away from the window without blocking light or the view. Curtain rings and eyelet rings work well with curtain rods. One or two rings can be placed beyond the wall bracket so that the curtain covers the side of the window and the wall bracket neatly. Rod-pocket curtains cannot be moved behind the wall bracket at the side of the window.
Installation also in older buildings
The length of the curtain rod, number of mounting points, weight of the curtains and the ceiling or wall material affect which fixings and working methods are required. Concrete, plasterboard, wood and different board structures require different solutions.
- Concrete ceiling or concrete wall: the strongest and most durable solution
- Plasterboard ceiling or plasterboard wall: the rod model affects the installation, and choosing the correct fixings requires care
- Wood and board structures: secure mounting is usually possible
- Older buildings (1800-1950): a permanent solution may require special fixings and extra care
When does it make sense to order curtain rod installation?
- You want to make sure the curtain rod stays securely attached to the wall
- The old rod is broken or has come loose and needs to be reattached
- The rod needs to be installed on an old concrete wall, plasterboard or another challenging material
- The curtain rod is long or several rods need to be installed
- You do not want to drill into the ceiling or wall yourself
- You are unsure about the correct fixings or wall material
- You want a neat result without unnecessary holes
